Finding and Using Information
Children need to develop skills in locating and selecting information from a range of sources and organising it into their own work, using their own words. In this way they create knowledge for class work.
At ‘School Libraries & Information Literacy' on the DET website is an information skills process matrix which may be of interest to parents wishing to help their children. Pass the cursor over each of the steps in the process and reveal further information embedded in the page.
Learning at the Library is a very interesting page on the website of the New South Wales State Library.
